Have you ever woken during the night to go to the toilet? That’s because your bladder was full and it sent a message to your brain to wake you up so you could go and empty it. However in children, this communication signal between the bladder and brain has not been fully developed. The alarm helps train their brain to associate the sensation of a full bladder with waking up and when done consistently, over time the child will wake themselves to go to the toilet when their bladder is full.

You might be wondering...
The Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne recommends 7 years or older as before that time, bed wetting is still considered normal and treatment may be ineffective. Though some health professionals suggest ages 5-6 can also use bed wetting alarms.
Typically bed wetting alarms can take 6-12 weeks to be fully dry with no bed wetting, however it can be much quicker for some children. In an independent study in 2022 that was conducted on over 7,000 bedwetting children, the results conclusively showed that Oopsie Heroes was effective in curing nocturnal enuresis (bedwetting) in more than 93% of the children in 6-12 weeks. Can you wear the alarm while still wearing a nappy/pull ups?No. By placing the alarm ion the inside of the nappy/pull up it would block the sensor signal and therefore the alarm would not go off.

Reducing the stigma
There is so much stigma attached to bed wetting. But it doesn’t have to be that way. Our absorbent, waterproof bed linen features stunning, on-trend prints that kids actually want to have on their bed.
Supporting exhausted parents since 2017
We needed non-toxic, no-plastic sheet protectors that were as stylish and comfortable as they were safe and absorbent. We couldn’t find them so we created our own. We’ve changed the game for those middle-of-the-night accidents so you never need to strip the bed at midnight again. Welcome to The Gang!
