Do all the Bed Mates come with wings?

Yes! Every size from single to queen comes with wings. The only option to buy without wings is the single.

What are the wings for?

If you are planning on using the Bed Mate for a bed, then we would recommend you select a size that comes with wings. They are designed to tuck under the mattress to help keep the Bed Mate in place during the night.

What is the single Bed Mate without wings used for?

This Bed Mate is perfect to use on the couch for daytime naps or even when eating/drinking snacks, on the floor for tummy time or nappy free time, on the ground for a picnic or in the cot.

Can the Bed Mates and Mini Mates be put in the dryer?

Yes, they are dryer safe. However please make sure you have the heat setting on low. Heat can damage the waterproof membrane, shortening the life of the Bed Mate. 

Can I use bleach on my Bed Mate?

No. Bleach is a harsh chemical that will encourage the delicate waterproof membrane to deteriorate. This is also the same for vinegar.

What are the recommended washing instructions for the Bed Mates and Mini Mates?

We recommend washing our products in the washing machine with the water 30C or cooler, using a gentle washing detergent and then dried on the washing line. 

Do the Bed Mates or Mini Mates contain any plastic?

Absolutely not. The waterproof membrane in our products is made from TPU which is a safe alternative to plastic. It is 100% waterproof but is also breathable and safe for even newborns.
